Posada Independencia is a new hotel in Oaxaca. The location is a little bit away from the downtown, about 15-20 minutes walk distance. But the room and the is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The environment around the hotel is safe and quiet. For the room, it’s simple, but well prepared. They provide shampoo, body wash, lotion, dryer, towels, umbrella, and hangers. We have our own bathroom, needn’t to share with others. They also offer a Breakfast Bar, which includes yogurt, granola, and seasonal fruits. But we didn’t try it. The best thing is, they offer water for EVERY rooms!
I LOVEEED IT!! Posada Independencia is an amazing home. It is stylish, beautiful, and comfortable. The location is perfect because everything is close enough to the house, you can walk without any problem. It is also a perfeeeect place for a group of friends or family. There is a lot of space where you can be and share good moments. There is a backyard in which you can relax amazingly! I am sure that I'll be going back again!!
We had an amazing stay at Posada Independencia earlier this month. We had two rooms and they were both very comfortable. The communal spaces were wonderful and the complementary breakfast was delicious! We liked the location, which is about a 10-15 minute walk outside of the city center, it's close enough to get everywhere but you don't have to deal with the crowds. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for those looking for an affordable yet comfortable option. Things to note: there is no onsite manager, but they do have someone who is available virtually. They were very helpful and responded quickly to all inquiries. It was particularly hot when we visited, so I was nervous about the lack of A/C, but we did't have any problems. The ceiling fans were strong and I had no trouble sleeping.
Great beds and great shower. Spotless clean and delicious BFast. Easy access and clear instructions. Love to walk from and to the downtown area. It is located at a busy street but very quiet at night, was able to enjoy my stay there very much. Friendy and resposive staff.
I loved staying at Posada Independencia! Extremely great value for a really stylish and beautiful home. You're at walking distance from all of the "must-sees" in Oaxaca but when you're too tired to explore, the backyard is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the afternoon. It's perfect for a family or a group of friends. Definitely plan on coming back!
I couldn’t speak higher of this boutique hotel! I absolutely love it here and will stay here every time I visit Oaxaca. The grounds are beautiful, it’s close to town, the property is safe and secure, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is delicious and fresh. The people running the hotel are also amazing, so accommodating they really couldn’t do more to help you and make your life easier. And the breakfast chef is so lovely, thank you for our wonderful home cooked meals. Overall I do not have a bad word to say about this place, thank you for having us and we look forward to visiting in the future!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Posada Independencia and couldn’t recommend more! The rooms are chic, stylish and comfortable, and the team are very helpful - they gave us some great recommendations. It is very easy to walk around the centre of Oaxaca from the hotel. The highlight was breakfast - a different delicious dish served each day, and they were so helpful in catering for dietary requirements.
